Founded by Charles Rolls and Henry Royce in 1904, Rolls-Royce was long known as the company that built the best cars in the world. Extremely expensive and exclusive, cars like the Rolls-Royce Phantom perfectly encapsulate all that's best about British engineering - although since 2003 the company has been a part of the BMW Group.

In a bid to expand sales, further derivatives of the Phantom have been unveiled, such as a long-wheelbase edition, a coupé and the fabulous open-topped Phantom Drophead Coupé. More recently, the smaller and cheaper Rolls-Royce Ghost has arrived - although it's still for the wealthy only.
