Started up as a shipping operation, Mitsubishi built its first car in 1970. Since then the company has collaborated with various other car makers such as Hyundai, Volvo and Peugeot-Citroën. Easily its most interesting and sought after model is the Mitsubishi Evo, or Lancer Evo, which is a serious driver's car.
While other models less well known include the Grandis and Outlander, the Mitsubishi Colt is another long-standing model which sells in decent numbers. Perhaps the most well-known model from the company is the Mitsubishi Shogun though, a full-sized SUV which has been around since 1982.
