Lexus is a luxury car maker from Japan. It was set up as the luxury car division of Toyota in 1989, and its first product was the LS400 large luxury car. The current Lexus model range in the UK includes the Lexus IS small executive car, the IS250 cabriolet, the GS mid-range luxury car, the LS460 luxury car, and the Lexus RX range of SUVs, which is only available as a hybrid model.
Despite high-profile build quality problems affecting Toyota in 2010, the Lexus brand has established a reputation for high quality and its dealers are very highly regarded.
