The Hyundai Group was founded in 1947, but it wasn't until 1967 that the Hyundai Motor Company was set up. Until recently the cars were budget products, but current models such as the Hyundai i10, i20 and i30 have proved to be extremely competitive in a demanding marketplace.
Things are helped by the company's standard five-year warranty, but the excellence of cars such as the Hyundai Santa Fe means dealers don't have to try too hard to sell cars. Taking advantage of the trend towards small crossovers, Hyundai has also introduced the ix35, to take on models such as the Nissan Qashqai and Honda CRV.
