Makers of some of the most extreme enthusiast cars on the road and track, Ariel was launched in 1999 to build just one car - the Atom. Since then there have been two further editions of the car, the Atom 2 and the Atom 3. All have featured the same 'exoskeletal' design with the car's structure on display and no doors or roof.
Madly impractical, the Atom was designed for one purpose only - to provide as much driving fun as possible, without the need to worry about practicalities.
