Looking for a 360-degree view of vehicle ownership? Well, Warranty Direct may just have the answer, and it’s appealing to UK motorists for help.

The aftermarket warranty firm is hoping to become the first company to combine real-world customer feedback with genuine reliability data.

The Warranty Direct 360 Used Car Survey promises to be the most comprehensive, all-round study of UK used-car ownership ever conducted, taking advantage of 50,000 live warranty policies in the process.

But in an interesting move, Warranty Direct is seeking the views of owners to provide a more holistic impression of car ownership. To this end it is looking for views on performance, design, comfort and the all-important value-for-money.

Warranty Direct’s manager director, Duncan McClure Fisher:

“Motorist satisfaction is influenced by many factors – everything from handling characteristics and in-car gadgets to styling and paint colour.

“Our Survey will be the first to marry that subjective opinion with our proprietary, objective data to reveal the complete picture of UK used car ownership.”

The survey closes on July 8, with the details released later in the year. All those taking part will be entered into a free prize draw to win £1,000, plus a year’s free warranty cover.
