Together with the electronic systems that will aid progress when the going gets tough, the V40 Cross Country rides 40mm further from the road compared to the standard car. It's not a great deal, but it should help avoid sill- and sump-smashing rocks and boulders.

Not my scene, but looks better than most and being Volvo it will be safe and well put together, unlike Land Rovers

Perfect for fans of the rather pointless. Visually, it's a copy of the Junkbox, and since it is illegal to take a motor vehicle more than 15 metres from a public road without permission of the landowner, its most difficult task in the hands of the average driver will be parallel parking.
