Just like the R-Design, the Cross Country is available with Volvo's D2 engine, as well as the 2.0-litre 150hp D3 and 177hp D4 turbodiesel units. Alongside the range-topping T5 five-cylinder petrol, there's also a 2.0-litre 180hp turbocharged T4 petrol.

Not my scene, but looks better than most and being Volvo it will be safe and well put together, unlike Land Rovers

Perfect for fans of the rather pointless. Visually, it's a copy of the Junkbox, and since it is illegal to take a motor vehicle more than 15 metres from a public road without permission of the landowner, its most difficult task in the hands of the average driver will be parallel parking.
