A highly sought after vintage Lagonda, which raced at the last Le Mans before the outbreak of WWII, is expected to reach more than £1 million when it goes under the hammer later this year.

With that pedigree it must surely go for a lot more.
The sky seems to be the limit for the right cars these days.
Classics that also have a back story or racing history seem to be recession proof - that said, it's the truly rich that buy them and they don't understand the concept of recession.
