Twitter rant as Jeremy Clarkson's Mercedes breaks down

Jeremy Clarkson's Mercedes' flat battery meant a long wait for help and an amusing Twitter rant

Jeremy Clarkson took to Twitter last night to express his frustration when his Mercedes CLK 63 AMG Black Series refused to start.

The episode turned into a saga when the breakdown truck took hours to arrive, so Clarkson went off on a rant claiming he was a pregnant women, that the child was born headless... you get the drift.

We're not sure where this took place, but it happened to his own personal Mercedes (identical to the one above) after a day spent testing the new Mercedes A-Class.

However, when he came to set out in his CLK, he discovered the battery was flat - so flat, there wasn't even enough power to trigger the central locking, leaving him stranded outside the car.

His quick Tweet regaling his tale soon went viral and spurned more hyperbole from the star... this is what he said:
