Why are they using German Cars for this?
They obviously couldn't find enough of them that would start and not fall apart through rust.
I personally prefer the old Mini because it was a Mini ie; a small car inside and out, rather than a golf outside and nothing inside now.
The weren't the most reliable things on four wheels though, as with most Austins. All ended up being owned by excellent roadside mechanics, whether they were at purchase time or not. I learned how to bump start in what are now classics, it made sense to have a small child doing this rather than trying to push the car.
They are useing German car's in this because the Italian Job had Mini's in it & it would be hard to find a truely British car manufacture.
