Nobody ever wants to have to shell out to repair their car because of a fault, hence manufacturers pouring millions of pounds into research and development to improve reliability and customer satisfaction. But it seems that in the case of some car companies, they could do better.

According to new data from the 2013 Which? Car Survey, the difference in annual repair costs between a reliable runner and a malfunctioning motor is almost £500. Here, in reverse order, are the top 10 most costly cars to fix.
