As the cost of motorings grows, here's how to cut your cars' bills
The bank account with a free Mercedes

A US bank has launched a brand new bank account that gives a free Mercedes-Benz to customers who deposit at least $1 million.
Customers can choose from an SLK 350, an ML 350, an E 350 saloon or E 350 cabriolet – all are brand new and 2012 models.
The free Mercedes offer is run by C1 bank in Tampa Bay, Florida, and the cars are supplied as pre-paid interest on a five-year $1 million Certificate of Deposit product.
C1 Bank CEO Trevor Burgess said: “C1 Bank is offering its clients the ability to drive off in their own brand new Mercedes-Benz just for moving their money to C1 Bank.
“In this interest rate environment, where the five year CD has an APY of 1.20%, it is thrilling to change the game with the instant gratification of a spectacular Mercedes-Benz that our client will own, including tax, title, and license.”

Local dealer Crown Eurocars is supplying the Mercedes for the offer, which runs until 21 July 2012. General manager Larry Cesto of the dealer descried it as a “truly extraordinary” offer.
The bank does say, however, that the offer is limited to only two Mercedes per household…

Is it open to uk citizen, if so I would be interested
10%. You kidding !
Either way, if you did do this, the car would be worth a lot less after a couple of years, and they've still got your money.
Bad idea I think.
What a dumb **** scam....
OK, lets do some maths here .....
$1 million dollars depositied in a bank for 5 years with lets say 10% interest p/a.... take away the cost of a merc...= rip off !!!
why cant they just offer a piggy bank or school bag for depositers...?? lol
