Teen who can’t drive wins car

A young entrepreneur who’s won the use of a brand-new Alfa Romeo MiTo has revealed he has not yet passed his driving test.

17 year old Rob Nunn won the Alfa for a year as part of the National Entrepreneur of the Year competition. He beat five other finalists to the honour, which aims to seek out business stars of the future.

Yet, said Nunn, he cannot drive.

Luckily, driving lessons are to be arranged for the Chichester College graduate, so that he can actually use his prize car in the next few months.

Damien Dally, Head of Brand, Alfa Romeo UK, said; ‘Rob has proven his worth as a young entrepreneur and a rising business star.

“Once he’s passed his driving test, he’s going to have a brilliant time behind the wheel of his Alfa MiTo TwinAir.”

The competition was run by the Peter Jones Foundation, which runs a network of Enterprise Academies around the country. Alfa Romeo supports the Enterprise’s National Entrepreneur of the Award, which Daly said Alfa is “proud to be supporting… Congratulations to all the students on their graduation.”

The Alfa Romeo was presented at a ceremony in Birmingham last week, and came complete with a year’s free insurance. It is not yet confirmed whether both the cover and the loan will be extended to when Nunn does actually pass his test…
