Aston Martin celebrates its 100th anniversary with a radical one-off concept car
Steampunk MINI Countryman revealed
Just when you thought the steampunk trend was lying dead in some kind of neo-Victorian pea-souper miasma, Polish automotive upholstery firm Carlex Design has resurrected it in a rather surprising fashion.
Details are scarce, but if you think the copper-coloured exterior accents are wild, just wait until you get a load of the proposed interior. We’ve uploaded the image of this onto the MSN Cars Inside Track blog – and it’s sensational.
There’s exposed clockwork detailing in the seats, copper faces for the dials, copper trimming for the steering wheel and air vents, and a whole load of luxurious looking brown leather and veneering. Apparently some of the elements are even finished in bronze.
Probably not to everyone’s taste, but it is nice to see something a little different from the tuning world.
Carlex Design’s slogan is “More than leather”. Indeed.
