Skoda builds a replica Stonehenge called… Citihenge
Druids needn't trek to Stonehenge to mark tomorrow's summer solstice - Skoda has built a replica monument in London out of battered cars to mark the occasion and the launch of its new Citigo city car.
Overlooking the iconic Tower Bridge and situated on the lawn in front of the London Mayor's headquarters at Potters Fields, the structure was erected this morning and will stay there until 20 June.
The Citihenge team took three months to create the sculpture using 18 cars, and it's a behemoth too, standing at five metres tall and weighing a crushing 36 tonnes. Thankfully, it can withstand a force nine gale so visitors shouldn't have much to fear if the weather turns nasty. Like Stonehenge, it is also built on ancient and significant ley lines so spiritualists can still feel at one with the land.

The scuplture will then move off on a country-wide tour before being erected again at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from 28 June to 1 July.
MSN marked the monument's erection with an early-morning blast from Stonehenge to London in a Citigo to see if we could beat the time it takes for the sun to rise in Wiltshire and pop over the top of Tower Bridge. Did London's notorious traffic stand in our way? Or was the sun no match for Skoda's peppy little Citigo? Find out tomorrow when our video of the journey goes live...

Not a lot to do with the product but then most car ads aren't.
Funny . Talk about wasting money when other starve . How much is spent on new nuclear submarines, Olympic games, cigaretes, alcohol, bonuses, overpaid office workers. And how much food ending in the bin...... And Skoda is one of the most reliable cars you can buy.(do not own skoda yet)
No way could you travel from sunrise at stonhenge to London to see the sun rise a second time. Any schoolboy can tell you that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, as London lies east of stone henge, the sun will rise over london before it rises over stone henge, ( unless of course you have a time machine.)??????????????????????????????????????? Or do MSN and Skoda Know different, if so please let me in on the secret as I would love to travel back in time and tell myself next weeks winning lottery numbers :)
