Having a famous previous owner can often help to raise the value of a classic car. But in the case of this sublime Shelby GT350 Ford Mustang, we're not talking about some Z-list reality TV show reject or failed pop star. Oh no, this slice of American muscle was once owned by the very British, Sir Stirling Moss.

Needless to say, it's not being advertised as 'never raced or rallied'. In fact, it's part of Mecum Auctions' sale in Monterey, California and it goes under the hammer on the 17 August 2013.
