Revealed: 320hp Toyota GT86 Twin Charger by Gazoo Racing
The Toyota GT86 is a fun, affordable sports car, but we're not alone in wondering if it could do with a little more than the standard 200hp. Well, here's one with a lot more - Gazoo Racing's Sports FR Concept with 320hp.

Gone are the days of the FD and FC3S RX-7's, the DC2 and DC5 Integras', EK9 Jordan and type R, Celica, Supra, R32 Skyline, Evo 2-6GSR. Japanese performance cars suck nowdays if they even exist.
its good to see that toyota is comming back in the sports car scene....after the prius i thought we wouldn't see another miricle like the supra......however the fact still remians that the time toyota has taken off the sell hybrids has ment that nissan with their skylines, mitsubishi with thier evos and subaru with their imprezas have left the company at the back off the line..... hopefully toyota will keep at it so we can see it glorify with another model again!....but its not going to if it carrys using the lexus lfa as a base for its sports cars.
wicked love it
These "in-house" tuner-cars are ALWAYS very high-priced - the whole point of the GT 86 was for a new generation of younger drivers to get used to a car where BALANCE meant more than POWWWWERRRRR!! - and STILL, I think they failed - the car weighs 1250Kg, apparently, and has ABS - a good Drivers' car should be under 1,000Kg, with NO ABS, so that the driver can FEEL the brakes working.
I just CAN'T for the life of me see the ruddy point of super-stressing a 2-litre four-pot engine, when you could have taken out the 4-cylinder engine and fitted a light, all-alloy V6, such as the 3.2 24Valve beauty that Alfa-Romeo have been making since the 164 - the complaints about the GT 86 are a lack of low-down torque and that it has to be kept near the red-line.
Also, look at that ton of junk, i.e. the ENGINE, living IN-FRONT of the front suspension turrets - APPALLING weight-distribution, Much? My 1991 Alfa-Romeo 75 Twin-Spark has SOOO-much less weight in front of the pick-up points, and that is why they are used at a Nurburgring racing-school.
