The 3.7-litre V8 HDi FAP turbodiesel engine drives the rear wheels, delivering 600bhp. It is boosted under acceleration by energy from the electric motor, which uses stored energy to produce an extra 80hp (and an instant shove of torque). As the car weighs just 1,100kg overall, performance is likely to be superb.
