The outline is simple: engine capacity will range from 1.2-litres to 2.0-litres, and all are up to 22% more economical than before. The range will launch with popular units such as a 1.6 TDI that can average 74.3mpg, plus a new 150hp 2.0-litre TDI that still manages to return up to 70.6mpg. More powerful motors will follow in 2013, including a 180hp 1.8 TSI petrol and a 2.0 TDI 184 diesel.
