What do you get when you fuse a hovercraft with a sports car? This, apparently.
Looking like nothing we've ever seen before, this is the Mercier-Jones hovercraft - designed by inventive cousins Michael Mercier and Chris Jones who are aiming to drag the hovercraft into the 21st century....

remember the disabled guy who built himself a 4x4 wheelchair so that he could go out in the snow .. he was banned from using it because it hadn't been approved for taxation ..
you can't do squat.

Why is the writer commenting on this vehicle so nasty? If you do not like it then **** off back to Kendall Tim! Try being objective as opposed to being obnoxious! What is up? did someone steal your wife? I bought a Ford Ranger Thunder 8 years ago, paid well over 20k for it with all the extras. It hates puddles and ice let alone water. I for one wish I had one of these bad boys instead of my old Ford Ranger Thunder! Cool!

I thought it had been worked out since the 1980's that SIDEWALL technology was the only efficient way to use hovercraft lift otherwise most of the energy is wasted in blowing spray out sideways. I suspect this object would spend most of its time as a wave penetrator as its too mall to ride the bumps. This is not to deny the usefulness of hovercraft in Littoral Combat where efficiency is less important than adaptability. I would like this concept better if one were not having to grovel into it - low cars are not the only way to streamline most SUV's are bluff bodies but still aerodynamic in cruise.
