Jeremy Clarkson has UK’s worst celebrity teeth

Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has been voted the celebrity with the most discoloured teeth in the UK. Finishing in second and third places respectively were fellow BBC TV presenters Andrew Marr and Stephen Fry.

In the poll, conducted by LoveLite (a specialist teeth whitening and cosmetic dental surgery firm), co-owner Donnamarie McBride highlighted that women believe brown or yellow teeth are the biggest turn off when it comes to making an impression on a first date.

But the celebrity bashing for their dodgy smiles wasn’t just limited to males. Helena Bonham-Carter also came in for criticism for her discoloured dental digits.

Poll topper Clarkson is known to be a heavy smoker, a pastime that can discolour teeth. According to McBride, “it’s hardly surprising a heavy smoker like Jeremy Clarkson came top. Smoking is one of the worst things you can do to stain your teeth.

She continues: “If you want to make a good impression there’s nothing better than a winning smile and you can’t have that if you’ve got badly discoloured teeth. Clearly that counts for celebrities just as much as everyone else.”

But maybe Clarkson can take some solace from the fact even cosmetically enhanced celebrity molars got some bad press in the survey (presuming he cares, of course…).

Music mogul Simon Cowell and former glamour model Katie Price were among celebrities voted as possessing the worst cosmetic dentistry failures.

Clarkson is pretty much synonymous with controversy when it comes to his relationship with the media. However, it now seems even passively, JC is being thrust into the limelight once more. We’re don’t think he’ll be too bothered though…
