How did John get the information he needed for his Auto Union Type A model?
With no real Type A car to study, 42-year-old John had only one option to get the information he needed for his car. He negotiated access to the D'Ietern Gallery in Belgium, one of the world's most secretive car vaults, where the only full-size replica of an Auto Union Type A is stored. The photos and precise measurements he took while he was there formed the basis of his model.

Does this replica actually move? No mention of it having an engine of some sort whether it's battery powered or an actual engine, obviously if it did have an engine it would be of a small scale like a go kart 50/125cc engine or something, that would be cool. If not then perhaps enter it in a soap box derby.

A few hundred hous went into this car lucky lad to be able to have one, the men who drove these cars were very brave indeed no safety rules then, just get in and go and the best man won

It Does say it's a precisely made scale model of a car,This i presume also includes a precise scale modelled engine.

NICE ONE i COULD DO WITH A CAR BUT NOT THAT SIZE MINES IN THE SHED AND MOTOR HAD IT THROUGH RUNNING PEOPLE HERE AND THERE. AT 68 ONE IS LOST WITHOUT A CAR.

It says it's an exact replica but there are differences to the original, should try harder next time if your going to waste sorry spend all that money and time.

Would doubt that it is an exact replica because of lack of access to original drawings, so the measurements would not be exact and method of construction would prevent a modeller from producing a real copy. Pity the children, wonder what the wife's comments were?

Jesus man look at his dad SO SORRY KID i can tell you now you will always be second 2 your dad's "projects" you know that your dad defiantly got the **** kicked out of him in school that's why he is hidden away in his shop working on a toy car.Again so sry son hope you at-least have 5 min of fun :).
