Excellent Musician and great looking car. You people who trash Eric here dont know what you are talking about. He doesnt sit on his backside collecting royalties, he tours relentlessly playing The Blues to the world, for the last 40 years. People worldwide love him, his concerts are sell-outs, and he supports the Crossroads Charity for Drug Abuse. He has earnt his car, his boat, and whatever other pleasures and treasures he has. And by the way, he is simply the finest guitar player in the world.
He deserves every accolade going as a great musician, songwriter and singer.
He is the only artist to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 3 times and has won 22 Grammies.
This guy has been, no matter what his personal problems, a great representative of music for this country to the world.
He deserves everything he has.
We would all love to have his talent.
And to the moaners... - he works and makes music which gives people pleasure - strangely people prefer creative talent to people whining on message boards...
AND.............. the money goes to a bunch of people who work designing and making cars.
If you want the cash, get talent or work hard - or both....
Good for him, not my taste in cars, but he's worked hard enough and managed to survive the early years, so why shouldn't he buy whatever car he wants?
Great guitarist and musician and a thoroughly nice guy.
£ 3 million on a car wot you mad person will it drive any better than the starntard model? good luck to ya can you give me a £50 pound note?
£3 million for a car? I personally wouldn't spend £3 million on a car, even if I could afford it. For me, it has two too many wheels.
I wouldn't spend £3 million on a motorbike either though.
But people **** about it, need to bear in mind three things that are essential to all of us, and they are the unalienable Right of Life, the unalienable Right of Liberty, and the unalienable Right of PROPERTY. None of us dare lose or allow Government to interfere with and damage those fundamentals.
Do you know why the Right of Property is so important? It's because Property Rights are rooted in the Rights each of us have, in the Property that is our Bodies. Which feeds in to the Right of Life, and the associated unalienable Right of Self Defence. All of which are essential ingredients for the protection of personal Liberty. When we lose Property Rights, we become slaves (whether physically, or mentally as well by being worthless numbers in a Statist Machine).
Good luck to Mr Clapton. He hasn't stolen his wealth (he isn't a criminal politician, bureaucrat, or banker, seeking to deprive us all of our liberties and freedoms, and looting and pillaging us as they do, is he?), he has earned it, it is his PROPERTY, and his to do what he likes with, as long as it doesn't interfere with OUR fundamental Rights, Liberties, and Freedoms.
I wish him £3 million worth of enjoyment with this work of art.
If you have a problem with Mr Clapton using his property as he sees fit, then it is *YOU* that are the problem, not just to Mr Clapton, but to Society as a whole.
It is bitter, envious, jealous, spiteful, selfish people like you, that have got us all into the mess we are now in, by encouraging the people that are supposed to be representing us and defending our Rights, Liberties, and Freedoms, to sell them down the river, and destroy our protection that is the Rule of Law, in the process.
When payback for the damage you have done to us all arrives (and it will), don't go bursting into tears on us and thinking saying 'sorry' is going to count for anything you have done, will you.
