BMW teases new Zagato concept

BMW has released a single teaser image of a new Zagato concept, set to be unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance event in California this coming weekend (17-19 August 2012).
The new Zagato concept represents BMW’s second official collaboration with the Italian design house, following on from the BMW Zagato Coupé concept shown at the Concorso d’Eleganze Ville d’Este in Italy this May.
Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance 2012 preview
It’s obviously hard to make out a huge amount from such a shadowy picture, but if we had to guess the new car looks very much like a convertible roadster version of the same. Disappointing for anyone who was hoping for something a little less statuesque looking.
Pebble Beach will also be host to the North American debut of the facelift BMW 7 Series that we drove in Russia last month, with a new 540hp Alpina B7 variant as the starring example.
The 650i Gran Coupé will be making an appearance in California, too, alongside the latest BMW M5 and M6 – which will be on hand to help celebrate the 40th anniversary of BMW M.
Expect more details, and better images, of the new BMW Zagato roadster concept very shortly.
