This beautiful morsel of metal is a 1961 Aston Martin DB4GT Coupé and it's just been sold for a cool €1,012,000 by prestigious auctioneers, Bonhams - that's around £841,000.

An Aston Martin DB5 would be worth between a quarter and half as much. I believe around $400,000 is the current price tag but these cars are generally sold at auction so that price is extremley variable. The DB4 although not one of James Bonds rides is much rarer and more exclusive, probably for that exact reason. This is the first time I have come across one that's been for sale. I'm tempted to agree that the DB4 and DB5 are two of the worlds most beautiful cars! If only!

If I remember rightly, James Bond (007) also had a Aston Martin DB5 to play around with.

My dreams are shattered the only way that I will get my hand on one of those is if some sort of miracle happens like winning the European Lottery !! That would be nice.....Roll On Next Friday.

@ Tobias Thomson

I agree, it was the most Beautiful car ever made. I have 3 of them, including a rare 60`s Gold one, unfortunately they are scaled down models !

I wonder what an original DB5 (007) Aston would be worth at auction. Now that was a classic worth the money.
