Suspicious wife sparks car bomb scare

Suspicious wife sparks car bomb scare

If you suspect your other half is playing away, don’t, whatever you do, follow the example of Londoner Diletta Bianchini, who sparked a massive bomb scare in an attempt to spy on her husband.

Convinced her husband was cheating after he began working late, Bianchini contacted a team of private investigators, who placed a GPS tracking device on the underside of his Lexus SC430.

Her plan unravelled, however, when he noticed the device, after spotting a flashing light under his car (all the best covert surveillance equipment has bright flashing lights on it, don’t you know?). He alerted police, who cordoned off the area and called in the bomb squad.

It was only then that his paranoid wife admitted what she’d done. The device was then safely removed, but not before the town of Sutton was brought to a complete standstill by the incident.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Bianchini’s husband William Sachiti, protested his innocence. “She may well have thought I’m having an affair but I’m not,” adding: “my wife has always been the sort of person who has wanted to know where I am.”

What would she have done if she had caught him at it? We hesitate to wonder…
