New Audi A4 pricing announced

Audi has announced prices for the facelifted A4 Saloon, Avant and Allroad. Starting at £25,240 and featuring a significantly improved range of engines, the new A4 is on sale now and set to reach its first customers in March 2012.
The initial entry-level model is equipped with a 170hp 1.8-litre TFSI unit, while the mighty 333hp S4 topping the range at £39,865. A cheaper, sub-£24k 1.8-litre TFSI developing 120hp has also been confirmed, but won’t be available to order until early next year.
For the refresh, Audi has focussed on engine efficiency and refinement, with improvements in CO2 emissions and fuel consumption across the board. Particularly impressive are the two economy tuned 2.0-litre TDIe engines, which come in 136 and 163hp guises.
Emitting just 112g/km and 120g/km CO2 respectively, they sit in VED band C, meaning annual road tax costs of just £30 per year. Both also manage to return over 64mpg on the combined cycle.
The old 3.2-litre petrol V6 has been discontinued, meaning the most powerful engine in the standard petrol range is now a 2.0-litre four-cylinder unit developing 211hp. The 2.7-litre V6 diesel has also been replaced with a 204hp 3.0-litre unit, which currently powers the A6 Saloon and A7 Sportback.
The exterior styling has been tweaked to keep the A4 looking fresh. A re-profiled front bumper houses a redesigned grille, flat fog lights and a slimmer headlights, which are outlined with LED daytime running lights where Xenons are fitted. The rear benefits from a tweaked diffuser and LED brake lights.
Interior trim has been improved, with a number of wood and aluminium options. The Valcona leather of the seats have also been replaced with higher grade Nappa leather.
The options list now boasts Wi-fi hotspot capability, meaning passengers can connect phones and laptops to the internet on the move. Also new is navigation using Google Earth and an upgraded version of Audi’s active lane assist, which keeps you in lane should you begin to wander off course.
