The dictionary definition of infamous is: "deserving of or causing an evil reputation; shamefully malign; detestable." Cars are very much part of our past as well as our present, and we hope you will enjoy this trip down memory lane.

Now in the case of some of these cars here that might be putting it a bit too strongly, after all, it was often the person behind the wheel that was to blame for the reputation attached to the car. Nevertheless we have put together a list of 50 cars that have, perhaps, captured the public’s imagination for all the wrong reasons. Whether by accident, design, or even bad design, the cars we have selected will remain in the public eye for years to come.
