A month after Daniel Craig helped launch the new Range Rover Sport on the packed streets of Manhattan, the UK prices of the all-new 2013 model have been released. Unfortunately 007 wasn’t available to deliver the details to us.

The entry level Range Rover Sport SE will be priced from £51,500 – an increase of £1,280 over the outgoing model. But then the SE is hardly short on standard features.

The SE comes equipped with leather upholstery, automatic lights and wipers, DAB digital radio, power tailgate, stop-start, dual climate control, heated front seats, auto-dimming mirror, sat nav, four-corner air suspension, Terrain Response and voice control.

Makes you wonder why you’d ever need to upgrade to the higher spec models…

But then you discover that the HSE adds, amongst other things, 20-inch alloys, 14-way electric front seat adjustment, heated rear seats, front fog lights, paddle shifts, heated windscreen and rear view camera.

Prices for the HSE start from £59,995 – meaning you’ll pay £8,495 for the privilege of adding an H to your SE.

Next up is the HSE Dynamic which starts at £64,995.

Owners will get to enjoy new luxuries, such as stainless steel pedals, gloss black grille and vents, 21-inch alloys, twin speed transfer box, torque vectoring and Terrain Response 2 Auto – a system that constantly monitors the conditions and automatically sets the terrain program to suit.

And if that’s not enough you can opt for the Autobiography Dynamic – undoubtedly the choice of James Bond. There’s automatic high/low beam, interior mood lighting, surround sound, illuminated tread plates and adaptive cruise control.

Prices start from £74,995.

What’s more, if there’s still some cash in the bank, you can personalise your new Range Rover Sport until your heart’s content, with a range of 11 interior colour themes, four aluminium finishes, three headlining colours, 17 exterior paint options, seven alloy wheels, three contrast colours for the roof, three finishes for the exterior accents and a cuddly toy.

Actually, we may have made that last one up.

The new car – which is 420kg lighter than the outgoing Sport – will make its UK debut at the Royal Windsor Horse Show taking place between 8-12 May 2013.
