Alfa offer extends warranty to five years

Alfa Romeo is temporarily extending its current three-year warranty to five years on MiTo and Giulietta models. The five-year protection package provides customers with “added peace of mind on their new cars” according to the Italian firm.
The extended warranty consists of 36 months unlimited mileage coverage, with a further 24 months mechanical warranty on all MiTo and Giulietta models.

Traditionally, the Italian brand has scored poorly in reliability surveys, but the new lengthier warranty signifies Alfa’s increasing confidence in the longevity of its vehicles.
Damien Dally, Head of Brand, Alfa Romeo UK: “The Alfa Romeo brand has always had a strong emotional pull but we also have complete confidence in its rational credentials and believe our new extended five year warranty provides the retail car buyer with complete peace of mind.”
The extended warranty coincides with Alfa’s launch of the MiTo TwinAir. The 875cc two-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine produces 85hp and will hit 62mph from rest in 12.5 seconds. Its real strength, however, is its efficiency – 67.3mpg combined with 98g/km CO2 emissions means zero road tax.
The prolonged five-year coverage is available to customers purchasing either of the two Alfa variants until the 30 September.
