The A1 Sportback is 7mm taller than the three-door model which Audi says creates more space in the rear seats. It shares the same wheelbase and length as the three-door but is also, interestingly, 6mm wider.

I've owned 2 Audis and am a great fan but I'm afraid I think they've lost the plot here!! Apart from the hideous colour, it looks like a baked bean with wheels. Sorry Audi...

SUPERB CAR. DRIVEN ONE LAST WEEK, HAD MINI COOPER NEW 2002.. GREAT BUILD QUALITY..S*** ECONOMY...RIDE QUALITY HARD DUE TO 17" RIMS..THOUGHT MINI OK THEN 2002!..BUT NOW THINK ITS BECOME UGLY..OLD HAT!! ..STILL NO BETTER ON FUEL CONSUMPTION..AND THERES A NEW KID IN TOWN ..THE AUDI "A" NUMBER ONE AND WILL BE PROBABLY FOR SOME TIME.....MINI DRIVERS DONT KID YOURSELVES, ORIGINAL MINI WAS THE ONE! There is a saying in business - " you cant blame the mirror if you're ugly " .......no but you can blame the designers..........I dont doubt that this is a good car in all the ways Audi's are good, but it just looks horrible....I think these manufacturers are going a bit too far trying to package a full size car into something a lot smaller ......it means a very high roof line which gives us cars like this.

I went to look at one - they said they have brought it out to take on the MINI - I own a MINI and I wouldnt never change to an Audi A1 its lame!!
