Audi is planning a longer, five-door version of its A1 supermini. The A1 Sportback is due to go on sale early in 2012. Expect to pay a premium of £500 for those two extra doors.

buy a vw polo same car for less cash. Audi cars boring and charmless.

I've owned 2 Audis and am a great fan but I'm afraid I think they've lost the plot here!! Apart from the hideous colour, it looks like a baked bean with wheels. Sorry Audi...

There is a saying in business - " you cant blame the mirror if you're ugly " .......no but you can blame the designers..........I​ dont doubt that this is a good car in all the ways Audi's are good, but it just looks horrible....I think these manufacturers are going a bit too far trying to package a full size car into something a lot smaller ......it means a very high roof line which gives us cars like this.

Absolutely Allergo, but presumably not being sold for £1,159 as that was in 1974.

Mark Rushton has it right, the old Austin Allegro to me too even down to the gold paint.  What shape is the steering wheel then ??.

GREAT BUILD QUALITY..S*** ECONOMY...RIDE QUALITY HARD DUE TO 17" RIMS..THOUGHT MINI OK THEN 2002!..BUT NOW THINK ITS BECOME UGLY..OLD HAT!! ..STILL NO BETTER ON FUEL CONSUMPTION..AND THERES A NEW KID IN TOWN ..THE AUDI "A" NUMBER ONE AND WILL BE PROBABLY FOR SOME TIME.....MINI DRIVERS DONT KID YOURSELVES, ORIGINAL MINI WAS THE ONE! A TRUE CLASSIC, THIS IS WHAT THE A1 WILL BECOME IN TIME..VERY MUCH LIKE THE NEW FIAT 500..ANOTHER CLASSIC REINVENTED ONLY BETTER THAN THE MINI(BMW) ...LOVABLE  CUTE..GOOD MPG .GREAT MARKETING..CHEAPER TO BUY GOOD RESALE VALUE..I COULD GO ON AND ON AND ON...AS I SAID THINK MINI(BM) NOW OLD HAT BORING....AND THIS IS FROM SOMEONE THAT DRIVES A BORING OLD TOYOTA YARIS..(NEVER LET ME DOWN IN 5 YEARS £30 ROAD TAX) CHEAP INSURANCE .. reminds me a little of the shape of the golf mark 3.  But looks quite impressive.

I went to look at one - they said they have brought it out to take on the MINI - I own a MINI and I wouldnt never change to an Audi A1 its lame!!

Its just an expensive VW polo with an AUDI badge. But if your willing to pay for the badge then why not.

i have got a three door and its a fab car love it too bits classy petite and fast the five dr looks great too would 100% recommend
