Motor shows are always as much about glamour and glitz as they are about showing customers cars they can buy today.
And while it's great to see what your favourite manufacturer will be bringing to a showroom near you in the coming months, everyone likes to see the showstoppers - the concept cars.
The usual rule of thumb is the more ordinary the manufacturer, the more bizarre the concept. So Renault has the extreme DeZir at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, while Lamborghini's Sesto Elemento cost millions but actually signals the way forward for the Italian supercar manufacturer.
