New Hyundai i20
Hyundai is giving a global debut to its new i20 supermini here at Geneva, with the new car the latest model in Hyundai's range to receive the latest family face.
What is it?
It's a face lifted version of Hyundai's i20 supermini, basically - the latest iteration of i20 promises to improve quality while the Korean firm is making some bold claims about the new car's efficiency...
What's hot?
"The lowest CO2 emissions of any conventional powertrain car on sale today," is what Hyundai claims for the latest i20. This is thanks to a new 1.1-litre three-cylinder diesel engine that will emit just 84g/km CO2 in conjunction with Hyundai's eco-focussed Blue Drive technology.

What's not?
It's not all new. The i20 is merely a facelift to bring the supermini's styling into line with the current corporate image. So in comes Hyundai's "fluidic sculpture" design language, the familiar hexagonal grille and trademark headlight design. Although still based on the same chassis, we like the new look.
How much and when?
Expect prices for the face lifted entry-level i20 to stay similar to the current car - kicking off at just under £10,000 - with a UK launch date of May this year.
Anything else I should know?
The 75hp 1.1-litre diesel hits 62mph from rest in 15.7 seconds and will be joined by another frugal diesel - Hyundai's 90hp 1.4-litre oil burner will produce CO2 emissions of 96g/km, while the current i20's 77hp 1.2- and 90hp 1.4-litre petrol engines will feature in the new car, too.
