New Audi A6 Allroad

Microsoft-Magic Car Pics
There's no confusing the new Audi A6 Allroad with the regular A6 Avant on the Audi stand. It has real presence, which is just what its loyal following expect.
What is it?
The A6 Allroad pumped up version of the A6 Avant quattro, with taller suspension and lots of macho underbody protection. Perfect for those who need to make the occasional off-road sortie in a bit of luxury.
What's hot?
The Allroad formula is well tried and finds a small but enthusiastic audience. Engines are all V6 with plenty of power. Interiors are luxurious.
What's not?
The new A6 Allroad doesn't really move the game on much, and despite the sheer sophistication of the chassis, with its air suspension, there are plenty of tasty SUV rivals.
How much and when?
The Audi A6 Allroad starts at £43,315 and you can reckon on another £20k to get into a top spec version. The first examples arrive in the UK in July.
Anything else I need to know?
Every A6 Allroad engine is a 3.0-litre V6. The petrol TFSI has 306bhp and takes it to 62mph in 5.9sec. Economy is 31.7mpg. Turbodiesels have 201hp, 241hp or 308hp, with economy up to 46mpg.
