Mansory McLaren MP4-12C
German tuning house Mansory always likes to put on a good show at Geneva - and for 2012 it's brought along a 670hp McLaren MP4-12C.
What is it?
The standard McLaren MP4-12C is hardly shy in the performance department - producing 608hp from its twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 it scorches 0-62mph in just 3.3 seconds and claims 211mph. Mansory, however, has changed the intake filters, the exhaust and the ECU, and increased the engine's output to 670hp.
Mansory is best known for its carbon fibre work, however, and in the McLaren's case it's replaced the roof, the front and rear aprons, the mirror housings and the wings with the lightweight stuff. The MP4-12C is 60mm wider as a result, while the reduction in weight promises even more agile handling.

The changes to the styling won't be to everybody's taste, but by Mansory standards the McLaren is remarkably restrained. We're less certain about the tuner's aerodynamic improvement claims - including the big rear spoiler and the carbon sill extensions - as the original was designed by a Formula One team...
How much and when?
This really is one of those "if you have to ask..." situations. No work of this kind is cheap, but for a select few the idea of owning a genuinely individual MP4-12C will surely be worth the cost. Best get in touch with Mansory to discuss the timescale, too.
Anything else I need to know?
The Mansory McLaren MP4-12C's 62hp boost to 670hp is said to give it a new top speed of 219mph, but there are no details yet on the 0-62mph time. On the inside there's more carbon fibre plus hand stitched leather. The only change Mansory has made to the McLaren's high-tech chassis is the addition of some new lightweight forged alloy wheels - 20-inch at the front and 21-inch at the rear.
