For all the mad concepts at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show this is the place to see real new cars - the ones that'll be appearing in the showrooms over the next few months.

And this year saw a particularly strong crop too, across all sectors. Sure, there were supercars. But there were also city cars, MPVs and regular hatchbacks all worthy of merit. Here are our 10 favourites.

So the VW Up!, Hyundai i30, Vauxhall Zafira, Fiat Panda, Mazda CX-5 and Honda Civic aren't affordable enough for the ordinary man?

Why not show some models the ordinary man in the street could afford .you would have to have a pretty hefty wage packet to buy the models that you show
