Well, what a lucky boy he is, from humble beginings. Just shows you what hard work and a bit of luck can do. I didn't used to care much for Mr Evans - but he has mellowed into an alright bloke. I am the same age and unfortunately haven't emulated the same meteoric success. Most of the comments from articles like this are a result of the green eyed monster - emerging!! Well done and good luck mate.

Too true Gary, Chris Evans made his money by investments in the companies he worked for, first the company that made Big Breakfast, then TFI Friday, and Virgin Radio, then sold them all so has a lot of money, don't begrudge him that, or the flash car collection, but the brilliant thing is every year if you save up and bid he auctions an experience for Children in Need. I hope I would be that generous if I owned those beautiful cars and had to hand the keys over to someone I had never met in the name of charity, Chris Evans is one of the good guys, he always finds a way to give back, good on him.

i dont think chris evans has paid for these cars from his wages at the bbc .....so  the licence payer have not paid for the cars .

he has made money  from property the buying and selling of virgin radio ,ginger producions ,he was verymuch in the right place at the right time .

plus the fact that he has a terrific talent at presenting on tv and radio

To Poi Poi  you're being a big rude about someone you don't even know ( could this be a bit of jealousy). I had the good fortune to met Chris a couple of years ago and spent 2 hrs with him at Radio 2 and he was a real gentleman and very down to earth!!

Just one point, not all of the cars in the magnificent 7 belong to Chris Evans! Do a little reasearch people!
avatar
Anyone with an ounce of knowledge know that these are not all his cars.  People pledged money to Children in Need and in return got to drive these fab cars over a four day period finishing at Goodwood.  Please get the facts right.  The piece should have been headed Children in Need and Chris Evans Magnificant 7!!!

Well done JulesF18 for pointing this out.
Fact is Chris Evans raised £506,490 for Children in Need from the drivers of these Ferrari's and none of them are his.
Badly deceptive title from MSN, still poor guy raises half a millon quid for charity and still gets criticised !!!

A couple of years ago Chris Evans Radio 2 breakfast show was streamed live across the internet from the garden of his house. On show were his collection of Ferraris which were going to be driven to the Festival of Speed at the end of the programme. Amongst these were 5 cars which he'd had resprayed white with the interiors retrimmed in blue cloth. I recall thinking at the time just how any Ferrari lover could possibly wreck the heritage of such iconic models, one an F40, another a 365GTB. But now, according to the pics above, the F40 and 365 are back to their original colour schemes, (are these the same cars or different ones?) although the 288 GTO and the 550 Barchetta Pininfarina remain b*****ized. I hope to hell he doesn't let his wacky side loose on the black California he bought and which was originally owned by James Coburn for 25 years.

The 250 SWB has the most beautiful look.  F40...no words can do justice.  But for crying out loud Mr Evans.  I know you have worked hard and deserve the right to paint your cars any colour you ruddy-well like, but please no more white ones.

Any more then I will need to sell a limb or win the lotto or something to rescue them all.  288 GTOs are only red

Who gives a fk about this **** - Eric Sykes has died!!!

I agree this should have been titled 'children in need' Chris Evans didnt give the money personally, generous hob-knobbing people bid to drive these cars, they gave the money to the  'children in need appeal'.  And as some of you have pointed out showing off your wealth in a time where so many people have lost jobs, and are struggling so very much financially.  Proving the man is loud and brash  just as he is every morning on Radio 2.

Though I can't stand the bloke, I can't fault his choice in cars.
