Easily the most preposterous car name in current use comes from the Peugeot stable. Bipper? Tepee? Outdoor? Each one of those names is terrible on its own. But all three together? Someone got paid to come up with that...

I don't like this Chris Rees. Thinks Peugeots make rubbish named cars. RENAULT WIND. WIND. FART. BURP.

Duuuur u nincompoop

I thought the Peugeot Bipper Teepee Outdoor was quite a good name. Outdoor shows that it is adventurous, tough yet exciting; Teepee shows safeness, warmness and imaginative and Bipper shows that it is happy, fun and joyous. I thought the Citroen Xsara Picasso was a bad name...

Vauxhall Nova-  I read somewhere Nova means doesn't go in Spanish - so probably quite apt!!

'Golf TRD....  All that's missing is  U '  lol

Just to prove the European's can be nearly as bad; try Vauxhall selling a 'Nova' in Spain, (in spanish that's 'Doesn't go') or Volkswagon selling their bottom of the range turbo diesel Golf as the Golf TRD, (perhaps more accurate than intended).

Another Earth-Shatteringly important article from MSN.

As bad as outright daft names are, there is no room for nom de-plumes that just invite ridicule.

From the Ford Fester to the Skoda Fellatio, there is always someone (me ?) out there who is ready to take the metaphorical waste fluids.

Still, it gives me something to do.

Peace.

Surely the "Toyota Picnic" deserves a mention?

Imagine telling "the guys" down the pub you just bought one of those.

To A Tucker from A Bloke.

I forgot all about the Ford Tippex.

Somehow I must have blanked it out.

Peace.

GM deny it but I still believe it's from Vauxhall's sister company Opel who's founder was Adam Opel and with Opel the head of European operations specified this name which also applies the UK marque with the pairs identical model range! I guess we can say it's an Opel with a Vauxhall Griffin badge, sad days for the UK!

I remember the Simca, a friend had one, only problem was the sills, they  were so badly corroded that you had to open one door at a time. Open both, neither would close. He used a trolley jack if this happened to straighten the body again. Pre MOT days !    Wink
