Being a spectator is very much the first rung on the ladder of a motorsport career, and with more than 5,000 varied events in the UK this year, there'll be something to watch very near you.
Ticket prices range from a few pounds to a few hundred (Formula One race day) and you'll have a great day no matter what type of racing you're seeing. Feel free to talk to drivers about how they became more involved in the sport, too. They were spectators once.
