How's my driving?
Knowledge, so the saying goes, is power. And when you can't phone a friend it's great to have the help you need sitting on an app on your smartphone. Millions of apps are now available and not just for the iPhone. Nokia's Ovi Store, WindowsPhone.com and BlackBerry's App World all provide apps. Here are some of the bestones for motorists.
App: Confused.com MotorMate
Insurance comparison site Confused.com has launched an app that can rate your driving. MotorMate, which is free to download and use, allows your mobile phone to monitor your driving style with rewards for good driving, such as a £25 cashback voucher and a free in-car cradle. We're testing the app and will report back on our progress once we have achieved the recommended 250 miles. Ian Dickson

How about Vlingo for Android. Free. Makes it easy / safer to use phone while driving. Can use voice commands, dictate messages and it can read out texts.
The RAC app you list for Windows Phone only, well I have it on my Android, how did I manage that then?
