As an affordable run-around for the city and campus the Aygo is a cracking option with its compact dimensions and frugal fuel habits. However, when venturing beyond the city boundaries the 1.0-litre engine struggles. At motorway speeds the Aygo's noise levels can also become a bit much and general refinement could be better.

The most popular cars for women - small and cute, just like their role in the world.

Fiagro was popular because it was Sarah Jane Smith's car

the kia is a great little car and you get a lot for your money without having to pay for extras and the name.

This is rubbish!....Most young women up my way have 'Status Symbol' 4X4s and they can't
drive the things. Most can't reverse either. Cheesed off with them on the school run. One of
the subjects they teach is about so-called 'global warming'. Their carbon footprint must be
bloody awsome.

A desperately bad article even by MSN standards.
"Research shows" you say and then put a small volume special import as number one. I am confident soundly based research would show that your writer just made it all up, because he had a space to fill and nothing worth reporting..

Most of us have been on the Quotation websites for a laugh and to check out what they quote for the Bugatti Veyron convertible that costs more than the whole street I live in.
But quotes do not equal cars bought and driven by women or by men.

I have a lot of respect for the ladies in general, and do not believe for one second that many would think this was a realistic review of their motoring preferences.
They know good value, and are often better at shopping for quality and value than we men.
Please don't try to perpetuate the "little woman" image a second longer.

Oh yes my wife chose for herself and by herself a bright red MINI Countryman Cooper S, I love the car and sometimes she even lets me drive it.

For those who've not driven the Figaro, be thankful...............

Doe's anyone remember the old Austin Metropolitan?

Well, it looks very similar, but with Leather, A/C, Cruise etc.

It looks like krap, drives and handles like krap with the worst engine and transmission you can imagine.

Although they are no longer made (Understandably) and you can only buy an old import!

THEY ARE INCREDIBLY POPULAR!!!!!!!!!!!

yes the article is patronising but have got to use this to write my review on the Beetle> Lovely to look at but a nightmare to own! Have a Beetle convertible same colour as picture and have had two major roof repairs on my 3 year old car as it just wouldn't work when it was half way up!, The boot electrics have gone twice, along with the whole wiper unit., the windows have taken on a life of their own sometimes going up and down at will.... unless you like driving a lot of courtesy cars and spending your spare time in garages waiting for repairs, steer well clear!!

Will cost you a fortune....

Now, what I cannot sand to see are MEN driving the Fiat 500. OMG! they look so pathetic and hopeless, as if they could not change a wheel.

I love VW and BMW cars mate, cabriolets, I’m a zippy, happy ‘lets go’, ‘get outta my way’ girl.

Hee hee.x Open-mouthed

Not true for every girl. In that film Knight & Day, cameron diaz drove a massive car, not sure what kind but it was one of those classic american cars ; p

Being a Doctor Who fan, i agree that this car is popular because of Sarah Jane Smith. Definitely my favourite car of all time!

What a coincidence.

On a visit to Oban,Argyll today I came across one of these cars in the retail park and like all unusual vehicles I see took a snap of it on my mobile.I now wonder whom the owner might have been!!

Hi Iive in the south west and have 3 girls all drive fiats i myself drive one I know a lot will say what a load of c##p but they insure cheap and are cheap to run and repair and buy you can get a newish one for under a grand and you do see a lot around try one and you will see I am right.

So what emelia empson is trying to say is that she's a reckless driver.

I'm a bloke &I don't own a Fiat 500. Yet I see nothing "pathetic" when I witness a man driving one.  Fiat 500s have a very good reputation.

Just remember, when your out and about driving, it's not a competition.  There no king, or queen of the road trophy to be won.  All your doing is p*ssing off other motorists

"The Figaro was never officially sold in the UK, and considering only 20,000 were manufactured in total" - In what way does this equate to 'Popular' for anyone?
