Every separate bodywork panel, including the towing eye covers, was fastidiously resprayed in hues from Renault’s then-contemporary range, although the pink nearside sill stands out as an obvious moment of madness. Actually, it doesn’t. By this Laguna’s existence, the Polo Harlequin immediately looks like Volkswagen played it safe. Don’t be like Zammo, kids – just say ‘no’.
