The Hulme F1's 600hp and 516lb ft of torque at the rear wheels from its 7.0-litre V8 and a 980kg kerb weight make for a particularly startling turn of speed. No airbags, no roof, no ABS and no traction control - this is a man's car for men. It's named after the 1967 Formula One World Champion, Denny Hulme.

You know, I just looked through the cars and I actually had not heard of ANY of them !.

As a petrol head this astonishes me and begs the question, why is the likes of Top Gear so narrow focused ?.

Look !, another Ferrari shaped like folded paper, and another Porche, just like every other one but with the edges filed off !.

Lets have some of these beasties on the show, something other than the big few.

Duhhh !.

Peace.

This Rapier looks remarkably like an Ultima maybe it should be called the Plagarism GT ? Or just the Rapier Rip-off !!!!

The caption is wrong on image number 5. This car is not a Tramontana. For me, it is the most interesting so, I hope that the mistake will rectified - perhaps someone might comment with the true name of the car and manufacturer.

I say this with respect to MSN but when the test was done the Hennessey did not hit top speed on that test of 265.7mph. Hennessey got the car to 265.7mph on a 2 mile strip at an American airforce base and they boasted that the Buggatti would need a 4 miles track to achieve such a speed and they hope to test the top speed when they get a bigger strip of tar. You can search for it on Youtube.

Wouldn't it be better described as a Lotus Hennessey Venom then, as it's a modified Exige Chassis and assembled at Hethal too. The Gembella looks a bit Lotusy too.

Any petrol head would have heard of all of these, I'm surprised you've not managed to actually find anything obscure, but as this is MSN cars I'm not too shocked. No Ultima yet again, MSN cars is pi55 poor & clueless.
