Lower medium: 1. Ford Focus - 81,831 units, 16.7% market share
This generation of the Ford Focus has continued where its predecessors left off. It probably doesn't have quite the same vitality on the road as past models but it's a more compelling all-round package with great comfort levels and Ford's family design direction employed to full effect. Prices open at £14,000.

Do the figures include motorbility cars? As this represents a large share of the market.

Have you split it into sectors or total market? By that I mean, Retail, Business and Fleet. If you haven't then your answers are wrong. e,g. Total figures can be distorted by Rental Cars, which some Manufacturers do not supply to, because of the effect on residual values.

Would rather use my trusty 37 year old ex military land rover than any new car, easy to fix, loads of fun and will outlast all of them.

The Nissan Quashqi is in the wrong group - it's an SUV so should be in the group headed by the Range Rover - in favt it should head that group

I think the VW polo fox  in the city car category  pips in sales most  other makes of the same  category. The VW  Sirocco i can only dream of  too expensive for my budget!!

Really, all you sad people out there - get hold of a VW 2.8 Highline Golf. Beautiful leathers and a 200hps that leaves most gasping at 140 mph. Probably cost you between £1000-£4000 depending on condition.Mine is my darling - it holds the road as if on tracks and is a finger-tip drive. I drive conservatively most of the time but I love leaving the 'macho-boys' embarassed!
