Audi fans have been debating over the possibility of a Q6 ever since the introduction of the BMW X6 in 2008. Rumours have become more consistent now that Audi has registered the Q6 name in Europe.
What we know so far is that this new sporty crossover will share a platform with the updated Audi Q7/Porsche Cayenne/VW Touareg triad. Power plants will be both gas and diesel with the top RS model using the 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 of the new RS6.
