For those who need more excitement than four wheels can provide, there is sticking to just two wheels - and hanging on for dear life when the lights go green.

MSN you need to do your homework on drag racing!  Dave's model A van runs to a set time in that it must not brake 10,9 seconds believe me the vans capable of going faster than that.. I believe im right in saying he like many others who run to the 10.90 index also run in another class which has a 9.90 second index. If youve never been drag raging people go you just dont get the noise of it through tv believe me 2 top fuelers have more horsepower (8000 each) than the whole of the Formula 1 grid and make the ground shake to the tune of a 2.1 earthquake and check the price of a whole weekends ticket compared to Formula 1 and under 16s are free upto 3 per adult

Wasn't the Red Victor team there? If so then why no pictures of Britain's fastest street legal car?

I remember when the Pod was just a bare track and all the dragsters were `slingshots`. Nice to see its improved a bit.

Check out Eurodragster for a complete run down of the four days racing action, it was a great event and made me proud to be British, special mention should go to all the sportsman racers out there, well done to all the staff and crew at the track and behind the scenes as well.  look forward to more next season.

At least the speeds were not in Euro figures. I never understood Km in comparison to miles when the numbers got larger

Re phote 31: Mr Whippy. To quote Eric Morecambe, "He won't sell many ice creams at that speed."

Re pic 26: at one time I also thought it was going to flip back - the car is heavy and it needs to wheelie to transfer the weight, but at times you can have far too much of a good thing. At the weekend Rick's car worked well and the wheelie bar did its job.
Nice take!
