A whole generation of UK enthusiasts love the Eunos brand because of all the grey imports bearing the Eunos name that have made it over from Japan. A Eunos Roadster is basically a Japanese domestic market Mazda MX-5. Sub-branding was all the rage back in 1989, when Mazda created its Eunos badge to sell cars like the MX-5 and MX-3. But by 1997, Mazda realised the folly of selling its best models under a brand with no kudos, and the Mk2 MX-5 was badged Mazda in all world markets.

Rover was a very innovative brand until BL took them over, they developed the jet engine in the UK, produced the first jet powered car, etc.

best car ive ever had.... and ive had 4 no 5 of them from a 93.1.9tdi,,, 900s and two 900 turbos and a 9000  both good second hand buys nowt ever went wrong wiv them apart from tyres and the odd hose....... fair well to a good marque.

ive got to say its a real shame about saab.but they had an era where they were amazing.last august i bought a 1999 v reg saab 95 estate 2litre turbo for 800 quid.i got a lot of car for that figure.heated electric seats, dual climate,air con.a truly stunning sound system.all round luxury and comfort.this is my fourth saab.i cant fault them.what else do you get for 800 quid?a mondeo?a peugeot 206?my advice to anyone wanting to buy a car below a grand,always chose saab if you cant afford bmw etc.

Sad to see Saab go...but agree they haven't made a good car in years.They were just Vectra's in drag...only much more expensive,and not that well put together either.

Owned a few in my time,mainly 99's and a 900 turbo......back when they DID make a damn good car.

Quite lucky really, as i had 2 Saabs  a 1994 900 convertible and a 93 2007 sport-wagon diesel then lost my locking wheel nut key ,called Saab who said nothing as closed down, decided to convert my cabrio into static garden ornament ,and the other into time machine , still looking for flux capicitor or am i?

GM are doing a good job of screwing over Saab. Loads of people want to but the brand and keep up production but GM refuse to sell it. SOOO SAD.

Jaguar and landrover were sold to Tata for a song and instead of the uk government buying them and restaking our claim in the industry they instead write off the loan made to India totalling more than 3 times more than jaguar and landrover could have been bought for,the lunatics running the aslymn springs to mind add in the fact that Gordan Brown gave all our gold away,it was a really good time for us to blow millions.China tried to buy saab but it seems clear GM did,nt want to sell and yet GM went for a hand out by the american government,beggers belief really.

Ok,for the benefit of george paley,between 1999 and 2002 gordon brown whilst chancellor took the decition to sell off half our gold reserves 395 ton whilst gold was at a all time low for 20 yrs and despite a impending economy slow down and ultimate recession,he did this against the advise of the bank of england but with support of ed balls,ed milliband and baroness vadera who were his close advisors at the time.The gold was sold in 17 auctions over three yrs for between 256 and 296 dollars,the price of gold today is around 1200 dollars,so i think i,m justified in saying he gave it away,he has cost us more than 10 billion about £600 each.

Yes there are loads of them, we can give one each to the house of lords and parliament too

That could keep TATA going for a few years.

What about TVR or even Bedford if you want to go back a few years. Car companies are like any other business, some are in fashion longer than others. And don't get me started on British motorcyles and Lambretta scooters!
