Prince Albert is selling his car collection
We're not sure that Eurozone misery has reached this rarefied corner of the French Riviera, but even so, the Prince of Monaco is having a garage clear-out.
His Serene Highness Prince Albert is auctioning off a selection of historic cars from the private collection of over 100 classics built up over three decades by his father, Prince Rainier III. Around 38 lots will be offered - with no reserve - spanning a large cross-section of American and European automotive history.
Anyone with the desire - and indeed the ready cash - for a slice of automotive history from the Principality should hop on a plane sharpish: the sale takes place at 6pm this evening in Monaco, handled by auctioneer Artcurial. Read on for a closer look at this eclectic collection of old metal...
